Majority of women afraid to tell men the truth.

The results of SHE Caribbean’s online survey are out. And once again, I’m surprised at the results. Are women really telling it like it is? Or are they answering the questions in a way that makes them feel better? – Too afraid to face the reality of the state of their relationships?

The survey page of SHE Caribbean’s website asked: Your partner doesn’t fulfil you completely between the sheets. Do you: a: enjoy it anyway, because love’s more important, b ) pretend he’s good, c) Show or discuss it with him , d) discussed it; he listens, then forgets, e) I’m totally fulfilled, f) other – out of 68 respondents only three of them replied d). Disgusted with the huge untruth, I’m not even bothering to give the results for the other possible answers. I’ve lost count how many times I’ve heard ladies talk, so disheartened, no, actually, fed up, with telling their partners what they like, and the men listen, perform fantastically for a few sessions, then abruptly forgets.

The second question, with its response in brackets was: “Your partner’s mother compares you to his ex. You: Tell her to stop comparing (15) Tell your partner to tell her to stop comparing (25) Compare her to your ex's mother (1) Grin and bear it and complain to your friends (5) I don't care (8) Other (14) – that’s more like it – but I’m still querying that only eight people don’t care if their partner’s ex is being thrown in their face.

Am I being too pessimistic? Or was Virginia Wolff right when she said, “Life for both sexes is arduous, difficult, a perpetual struggle. It calls for gigantic courage and strength....”
